If your friends are one text away Why does meeting up feel so hard?
Sponio turns βwe should hang outβ into actually hanging out β no group chats, no flaking, just show up.
We're drowning in messages
but starving for real connection.
Sponio gets your friends off their phones and into your life.
Fear of rejection
You float the idea, get three "sounds good!"s, and then nothing. So you drop it.
Communication overload
An hour of "when are you free" and "idk you pick" for something that should take 30 seconds.
Mental overhead
You need to remember everyone's schedules, preferences, and the last time you actually hung out.
How Sponio works
Less messaging. More showing up.
Your circles, sorted
Gym friends. Study crew. Board game squad. Keep them in separate lists β the right hangout goes to the right people, not everyone you know.
Post a hangout in seconds
Activity, time, place, how many people. That's the whole form. No group chat, no "who's free this weekend" thread.
Unlock to peek inside
You see the activity, time, and location β but not who's going. Use one of your daily unlocks to find out. You only get a handful, so no mindless lurking.
Just say yes, or nothing
Can't make it? Just don't join. The host sees who's coming β never who saw it and moved on. No awkward "sorry can't" messages.
Full means gone
Once it's full, it's gone. People outside the group won't see it, won't know who went, won't know what they missed.
Show up or miss out
Unlocks are limted, so people use them when they actually care. The ones who show up wanted to be there.
Questions you probably have
And some you didn't know you had.
Be the first few to show up.
We're starting small on purpose. We are enjoying a successful alpha testing experience; time to move to the next step. Join a tight group of people who actually want to see their friends more. We'll tune the experience with you all and make sure the mechanics feel right before we open it up wider.

We realised how annoying it was to organise meetups with friends. We wanted to spend time with them but didn't want the headache of planning and the endless back-and-forth texting. So we decided to solve it.
We talked to a few friends and confirmed it was a genuine problem many people faced. We ran a survey to understand them better and identified the root causes of frustration and what we needed to solve.
We showed two friends our rough prototype, got a lot of useful feedback, and knew it was worth investing our time in. Its now over 20 users with 10-ish active users
Opening up to a much wider group.
Sponio opens to everyone. See you out there.
Privacy
Sponio is built on the premise that less visibility = more connection. Here's our commitment.
We collect only what we need
Name, email, and your activity within the app (plans created, RSVPs, etc.). Nothing you don't expect.
Your plans are ephemeral
Once a plan expires or reaches capacity, it disappears from the app. We retain data only as long as needed to keep the service running, in line with GDPR.
No selling, no ads
We never sell your data to anyone outside Sponio. The app is free and has no real ads β just AniAds, our own in-app silliness. A small optional subscription will let you turn those off.
You can delete everything
At any time, you can request full deletion of your account and all associated data. We'll confirm within 30 days.
Your contacts never leave your device
We use your contacts locally to help you find friends. They are never uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone.
Data stays in Europe
We keep your data in the Netherlands where possible. Where that isn't possible, it stays within the EU.
Alpha and Beta testing data handling
During the alpha and beta testing, we may collect additional diagnostic and usage data to improve the product. You'll be informed before any collection beyond the above. Participants can opt out at any time.
This is a sandbox
We're in early testing. Data can be wiped without warning. Don't store anything here you'd be upset to lose β and expect a rough ride.
